Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

MigMeet is a social community app offering profiles, a feed, stories, direct messages, live chatrooms, contests, virtual gifts, a virtual coin economy and coin-based games. The Service is operated by the MigMeet team. For any privacy question, contact us at [email protected].

2. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account information — your mobile phone number (used to verify your identity by one-time SMS code), username, display name, password (stored only as a secure hash), and your selected country.
• Profile content — your profile photo, bio and any details you choose to add.
• Content you create — posts, stories, comments, reactions, direct messages, chatroom messages, images you upload and voice messages you record.
• Coin & activity data — your virtual coin balance and transaction history, gifts sent and received, contest entries, and games played. MigMeet coins are a virtual, in-app currency only; see our Terms of Use.
• Device & technical data — a push-notification token, app version, device/OS type, and log data such as IP address and timestamps needed to operate and secure the Service.
• Website analytics — on our website we use Google Analytics to understand aggregate, non-identifying usage (for example, page views). You can opt out via your browser settings.

We do not collect precise location, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites for advertising.

3. Device permissions

The app requests these permissions only when you use the related feature, and you can decline or revoke them in your device settings:

• Camera — to take a photo for your profile or a story.
• Photos / media — to choose an existing image for your profile, posts, stories or chat.
• Microphone — to record voice messages in chat.
• Notifications — to alert you to follows, reactions, comments, gifts and messages.

4. How we use your information

• To create and secure your account and sign you in.
• To operate core features — the feed, stories, chat, chatrooms, contests, gifts, the store and coin-based games.
• To deliver notifications you have enabled.
• To keep the community safe: to detect, investigate and act on abuse, fraud and violations of our Terms, including reports you submit.
• To provide support and respond to your requests.
• To comply with legal obligations.

5. How your information is shared

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only:

• With other users — your profile, posts, stories, comments and messages are visible to the audiences you share them with (for example, followers or chatroom participants).
• With service providers that process data on our behalf under contract, including Google Firebase (authentication and push notifications), Cloudflare R2 (media storage) and Google Analytics (website usage). These providers may process data outside your country.
• For legal and safety reasons — to comply with law, enforce our Terms, or protect the rights, safety and property of users, the public or MigMeet.

6. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we must retain certain records to comply with law, resolve disputes or enforce our agreements. Content you shared publicly or with others may persist in their copies (for example, a message the recipient still has).

7. Your choices and rights

• Access & update — edit your profile at any time in the app.
• Delete your account — go to Settings → Delete account in the app or website. This permanently removes your account, profile and followers and cannot be undone.
• Block & report — block users and report objectionable content directly from the app.
• Notifications — turn notifications off in Settings or in your device settings.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (such as access, correction, deletion or portability). To exercise them, contact [email protected].

8. Children

The Service — which includes social features and coin-based games of chance played with virtual currency — is intended for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to use MigMeet. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted transport (HTTPS), hashed passwords and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice in the app. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
